In 2013 Austin gained experience towards pursuing his dream of premiere motorsports racing that would prepare him for the next step in 2014. From Texas to North Carolina, and across the United States, Austin Wayne Self was given the opportunity to race with America’s most talented drivers. With the support of AMTS, Austin was able to dominantly compete in the most competitive circuits of racing across the nation. When asked about his feelings on the sponsorship renewal Austin Wayne Self said, “I am so thankful for our relationship with AMTS. They allowed me to pursue my dreams in racing which is something not everyone gets to say. I couldn’t imagine a greater sponsor and I will never take this kind of support for granted. We make a great team!”
Austin showed tremendous growth which earned him impressive results within the past year. His talent rivaled veterans of the sport. In 24 races he achieved 10 top 5 finishes and 14 top 10 finishes with starts in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, NASCAR K&N Pro East, ARCA Menards Series, ARCA CRA Series and the SuperNational Karting Series.
“Our goal for 2013 was to gain track time, we did that and so much more. We proved at Winchester with a second place finish that we are a strong team and capable of championship contention in 2014.
