Austin Wayne Self Pre-Race Quotes:

On Darlington Raceway: “As a team, we are excited about going back to Darlington Raceway this weekend. It’s close to home and we had a really good run in the spring and hope to back it up on Sunday afternoon.

“I’ve learned a lot in my two races at Darlington. It definitely can be a challenging track but if you can get into a rhythm and set yourself up to make passes, it can be a blast.”

On World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway: “I’m really proud of our AM Racing team. Our No. 22 GO TEXAN | AM Technical Solutions Chevrolet wasn’t the best at the start of the race, but Ryan (Salomon, crew chief) made some great adjustments, and we had a little bit of luck and were able to deliver our third top-10 of 2021.

“Hopefully we can keep the momentum rolling at Darlington.”

On 2021 Season: “It’s hard to believe that the year is starting to wrap up. We only have six races left on the schedule and I definitely want to make the best of all of them.

“There are some good tracks left for our AM Racing over the next two months or so and I think there is definitely an opportunity to score more top-10s and hopefully even a top-five before we close the books on the 2021 season at Phoenix in November.”
