Austin Wayne Self finishes 4th at Berlin Raceway

On Saturday August 10th Austin Wayne Self finished fourth in the 22 AMTS Cunningham Dodge. After qualifying 7th Austin began the Primera Plastics 200 with the ARCA racing series and within the first 10 laps was three wide making passes. In high hopes and full of determination the race progressed and Austin made his way through the pack. On Lap 34 Austin made his first pass to assume P6 and within 55 laps worked his way into P5. The 22 team aggressively competed on pit row during a lap 94 caution. After restarting P7 Austin worked his way back to the front of the pack and with 80 laps remaining Austin ran P4. After a lap 145 Caution the 22 team restarted P6 and by lap 193 the 22 car secured P4 for the finish. Austin described the track as “challenging to pass on.” Proving the strength of the 22 team, Austin moved forward throughout the entire race, and never lost on track position by race dynamic. “I’m always just really thankful for the opportunity, my great team, and the incredible support.”-AWS After an incredible run and solid top 5 finish at Berlin raceway Austin will now focus his strategy towards their next ARCA race, and is now widely considered the rookie to watch.
