This weekend Austin Wayne Self will be taking the final green flag at San Antonio Speedway. San Antonio Speedway’s final race weekend is October 18-19th and the beloved high banked ½ mile oval will be greatly missed in the Texas racing community. “It’s sad to hear the track is closing down, It’s been great racing there over the years. Lot’s of fun memories” said Austin. The race (Octoberfast) will be sure to bring out Texas’ best homegrown racers and Austin hopes to take the checker in his # 07 Late Model this weekend. The seat time at a variably banked track such as San Antonio Speedway will show what the #07 has under the hood and how Austin can really run in a late model, so get ready for a show!
